Joliet, IL (July 2014) – Qualifying proved difficult for the HMR team at the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl event at Route 66 Raceway. They are still struggling to come up with a car setup that can handle the increased horsepower and torque from the new CFE cylinder head equipped 404 CID small block.
They showed some improvement in our first round win over Jennifer Green running 6.09 at 244.29 but lost traction in round two against Josh Green at the 200 foot mark after a great .997 60 foot short time. Due to business and travel conflicts, They will be unable to run the Norwalk event but plan on testing before the Indy World Street Finals race to work on a better car setup combination.
