Alta Loma, CA (June) – Hairston Motorsports & Racing ran their new big block twin turbo featuring a 526 CID CN billet 5.0” bore space block with a billet Chevy head built by Elite Performance engine specialist Jake Hairston with input from the legendary Ken Duttweiler.
Despite lots of rain and a first round loss to Michael Biehl, they were very happy with their first attempt with big block power. The first full ¼ mile pass netted a 5.967 @ 249.39 followed by a qualifying pass of 5.95 @250.69. They are very excited and know that the car is going to be very fast considering the conservative tune-up that Jake decided to start with. HMR will be being heading to the NMCA Indy race June 19-21 and expect a real breakout performance.
HMR looks forward again to representing their title sponsors Pertronix Performance Brands, Lucas Oil and Elite Motorsports and our many other product sponsors including: Duttweiler Performance, Precision Turbo, Racepak, Hoosier Tire, K&N, Lenco, Comp Cams, Lunati Crankshafts, Hogan Manifolds, Jesel, Strange, Motive Gear, CFE, Inland Empire Driveline, SCE Gaskets, Starside Design, Russell, ARP, XS Power, Aeromotive, Embee Performance Coatings, Pit Pal Products and Meziere for their continuing support and our great crew including Jake Hairston, Tracy Holmes and Clint Hairston.
